For Immediate Release: DJ POOLHOUSE continues his machine art ice reggae musical sojourn with the surprise announcement of HYPERBOREAN DUB EXCURSIONS, dropping Saturday, August 8
The Announcement:
“Well, while curating some tracks for a ‘deluxe’ ARCTIC SUNSPLASH re-splash, with some remixes and dub versions for you, I thought, well what if I added 1 or 2 new songs for the fans? And so I did, I wrote a really fun bop called Put It All On Ice and another one called Keep it Klorinated. Then I thought it might be fun to re-work Snorkelvision, so I did, And in doing so…I don’t know, I guess the easiest way to put it is that I accidentally opened a portal to Hyperborea! While I was there, I created a very special song called Flash the Message as a special gift for the festivals of Apollo Hyperborieos which were taking place….well, it was very well received! And he asked for another, so I came back with another one. And by the time I left Hyperborea (Abaris dropped me back off at my place on his Arcadian Arrow, wasn’t that kind of him?), I had a whole album for you – an Arctic Sunsplash Monster if you will. And with the express consent of the Hyperborean Holding Company, LLC, and in conjunction with my cybernetic production avatar, Jacquesques “JAH KK” Fröszt, it is my pleasure to deliver this surprise album to my audience this coming Saturday!! .” – DJ POOLHOUSE

“I’m really pushing the limits of ‘ice reggae’ with this one, it is probably better to call it ska-trance-emo-pop but that might scare the hoes. But as goofy as that sounds, this is a really earnest song, and very special to me. What is it about? Well, many things, it is a bit of an epic I suppose..but ultimately, it is a song about how we all need other to succeed in the Game of Life. It is not enough to Flash the Message – someone needs to Flash it Backk.” – DJ POOLHOUSE
